Influence of Temperature on Dephosphorization at Lower Basicity and Lower Temperature Based on Industrial Experiments and IMCT

In the present work, dephosphorization experiments by using new double slag converter steelmaking process (NDSP) has been carried out in a 180 ton top-bottom combined blowing under low temperature range of 1345–1450°C and basicity about 1.50. With increasing endpoint temperature, ratio, P2O5 content phosphorus distribution ratio logLP first increase then decrease. The apparent equilibrium constant reaction increases decreases, viscosity decreases. average area fraction P-rich phase those matrix Fe-rich decrease, respectively. morphologies change from small oval shapes to long strips, massive shape, further irregular blocks. value coefficient n nC2S–C3P decreases 4.8–6 2–4.8, 6–20. Based on ion-molecule coexistence theory (IMCT), C2S C3P have strongest affinities calcium silicate phosphate slag, Increasing enrichment degree C2S–C3P is conducive improving capacity hot metal. changing trends characterized measurement results phases calculation IMCT are well consistent, indicating that can correctly express slag.
